The Tux through time!

Clearly since a small child I have been Obsessed with Tuxedos! (Please reference the picture below of what looks like a little boy in a tux that’s yours truly ……The tuxedo is really playing up the whole androgynous vibe. As I got older I became Obsessed with the Provocative Tuxedo that Jennifer Beal wore in One of the Best Movies of all time…… Flash Dance. There’s something about a Women in a Tuxedo that is so Sexy and Powerful!

That outfit for me revolutionized the Women Tuxedo.

Now as an adult I am still Obsessed with Tuxedo’s in every which way. Don’t get me wrong I can always go for the True Classic Tuxedo Suit with all the Bells and Whistles, the Black Satin Strip up the Wide Leg Pant to the Cumber bun Moment is always a go to on my list….. But recently I have been so Obsessed with The unexpected Tuxedo. A Metallic option like this one from Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2012 is Ridiculous and just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many Amazing different silhouettes, colors and textures coming  down the runway right now I just want them all.

If you aren’t ready to commit to the Full Tuxedo Suit yet and want to ease in slowly a great way to do that is by adding a Tuxedo Pant to your Wardrobe, Cigarette Style or Wid Leg…..either one would be a great option. Or if your more drawn to a Blazer this Winter White Donna Karen option is the perfect fit. For all my Tuxedo Veterans out there that have Tux’s already pull them out of your closet and breathe New Life into them by using the pieces as separates. The Alexander Mcqueen wallet is so Insane…..The Day glow Pink is clearly eye-catching and I swear the brightness of it against your skin tone gives the illusion that you look tanner! It’s just another excuse to go shopping so you can pull it. I Love, Love, Love this Kimono Jacket by Kate Barbary the fringe totally makes it! Wearing this style you must be conscience of proportions. For example wearing it with a shorter pair of shorts will bring the eye up creating a longer leg while the kimono covers your tush so you don’t feel so exposed. Now for all of you that have IPads and want a more substantial cover or case this Tusk option is perfect….plus it’s the best color Tang!!!! My favorite for the season!

I’m absolutely loving this whole wetsuit swimwear line, but my favorite one is the Cheeky.   It’s definitely different, and will be sure to turn heads!   The perfect accessory for any wetsuit would of course be a Rebecca Minkoff neon color blocked tote and Sam Edelman flip flops. This tote is not only the best beach bag, but it can also double as a great everyday bag as well!

                Now, my sister is a candle connoisseur and she is always trying to turn me on to multiple different brands and scents.  They all smell amazing of course, but hands down the best candle is Gardenia by Tocca.  I have been burning it in my home and it literally smells like there is a straight gardenia bush anywhere you light it. It’s the perfect home essential for spring time!

Here are my Picks for the week…….I’m so in love with The Short Suit, it adds such an element of fun to the workplace or anywhere else you wear it to, plus it’s a great piece for this seasons warm weather. “Mirror, Mirror on the Wall what is the fairest Clutch of all”……the Bally Hard Mirrored Clutch is to die for! Moving right along to the Missoni towel, everyone needs a little Missoni in their lives, especially poolside J And my absolute favorite eye shadow quad is The Dior “Mystic Smokys”……it’s the best colors to create The Smokey Eye in a compact  now what’s better than that???
