I’m absolutely loving this whole wetsuit swimwear line, but
my favorite one is the Cheeky. It’s definitely
different, and will be sure to turn heads! The perfect accessory for any wetsuit would
of course be a Rebecca Minkoff neon color blocked tote and Sam Edelman flip
flops. This tote is not only the best beach bag, but it can also double as a great
everyday bag as well!
Now,
my sister is a candle connoisseur and she is always trying to turn me on to
multiple different brands and scents. They
all smell amazing of course, but hands down the best candle is Gardenia by
Tocca. I have been burning it in my home
and it literally smells like there is a straight gardenia bush anywhere you
light it. It’s the perfect home essential for spring time!
Here are my Picks for the week…….I’m so in love with The
Short Suit, it adds such an element of fun to the workplace or anywhere else
you wear it to, plus it’s a great piece for this seasons warm weather. “Mirror,
Mirror on the Wall what is the fairest Clutch of all”……the Bally Hard Mirrored
Clutch is to die for! Moving right along to the Missoni towel, everyone needs a
little Missoni in their lives, especially poolside J And my absolute favorite eye shadow quad is The Dior
“Mystic Smokys”……it’s the best colors to create The Smokey Eye in a compact
now what’s better than that???
Here are my 4 picks for this week’s IM KINDA OBESSED WITH……
Great lash is hands down one of my ultimate favorite
mascaras…it’s the tried & true. I use so many mascaras but I always go back
to great lash or at least use it in combination with another mascara. The
Sephora lip color from The Glamour Collection is Amazing. It’s like a Lipstick
and gloss combination, well pigmented and yet still moisturizing. They have a
variety of colors but for me Poetic Pink is the pink! Now moving on to the
body, The Nu Bra from Fashion Forms is where its at! There’s nothing better
than sticking on your bra. Its so comfortable and is a perfect fit for this
warm season and all the backless outfits that can be worn with it. No more
sweating underneath the bra strap in the back! Yay!!!!
Last but not least, the Footwear for this
week…..Clearly there are no words!!!!! This Giuseppe Zanotti invisible heel
stiletto is my life!!!!!!

Hot Pink Style in the Spring Issue of ICON Magazine
Jenna and Jamie are always behind the scenes doing hair, make up and wardrobe for either personal clients or magazine photoshoots. This issue was a special one since they were the ones in FRONT of the camera for everyone to see. They teamed up with C&I Studios. A video production team, Owner Josh Miller, who also created two of our most memorable videos from the past. We all know that Melissa Gorga always looks amazing, and her look on New Years Eve was no exception. I had the opportunity to chat with Jamie J of Hot Pink Style, the minds behind Melissa’s flawless glowing New Years Eve look, and she’s letting us all know how get Gorga Gorgeous in 2012! Jamie J had so much fun creating Melissa’s sultry, sexy makeup palette for her, that she took the time to let Big Blonde Hair Blog Readers in on a step by step tutorial of how we can get the look too.
Since the gorgeous Gorgas were down in Miami for a little sun, Melissa’s naturally olive skin had a fresh dose to start (Of course, here we have to say we don’t encourage excessive sun worshipping, but we can’t deny that there’s something just so desirable about freshly sun kissed skin). Jamie J amped up her glow by starting with Evian mist, a touch of oil free moisturizer, and a touch of MAC Primer to create the perfect base to apply her foundation.
Jamie then blended 2 colors of Brenda Christian Remedies Color Adjusting foundation, applied with a taklon brush, being sure to blend down the neck, around the hair and jawline and all the way behind and around the ears.
TIP: Allowing time for the skin to warm up the foundation is always best, so Jamie waited several minutes before applying the next products.
She then went on to give Melissa a light dusting in the center of the face with an Oil Free Dual Finish Powder, with a sunny yellow undertone and 2 then shades darker for light contouring. Jamie’s favorite is a line available exclusively through the Hot Pink Beauty Dept. This created the perfect even canvas, and the fact that Melissa’s skin is naturally flawless was an added plus.
Jamie then broke out one of the “most amazing products ever created”, Beauty For Real ‘s GetGlowing Cheek Tint & Luminizer, which is a blend of color cosmetics and skin treatment. Containing a revolutionary, new patented ingredient, LUMINERA, that features a DIAMOND CORE COMPLEX, it’s designed to capture invisible UV light particles to emit a natural looking glow to skin. Jamie patted Get Glowing on top of Melissa’s cheekbones, up into the temples, and a touch above her brow bones. Get Glowing! Cheek Tint and Luminizer features a highlighter, creating the effect of instant brightness in just the right spots. By mixing the GET LIT, a light, luminescent mother of pearl and the cheek tint, IN THE PINK, she brought a very fresh natural rosiness to the skin.
Jamie then dipped into GOLDRUSH, a brilliant, light reflecting warm, sheer gold and the cheek tint, AFTERGLOW, bringing a flush of bronze, and when mixed onto the apples of her cheeks she created the perfect naturally flushed shade of blush. The silky smooth application added a dewy radiance, the perfect complement to her sun drenched SoBe glow.
Ringing in the NY in Miami certainly called for a smoky eye, and that was achieved with a thick black pencil blended from lash line to crease. 2 tones of Metallic Charcoal Mineral Eye shadow were applied and blended exquisitely into the crease of Melissa’s lids. In addition to the thick black pencil applied into the lash line, a layer of Metallic Black Shadow was mixed with Liner Sealer, and applied heavily into the lash line, blending upwards. J.J. used a Q -Tip for this part . “You create more longevity and staying power by layering products, which is much needed for a sexy, sweaty south beach night” Jamie J said.
Speaking of smudge proof, Jamie J actually handed this next product to Melissa so that she could experience the magic of Beauty for Real (BFR) MIRACLE MASCARA for herself. “OMG, are you serious with this mascara???” Melissa gasped when she first clicked the cap and the wand illuminated. NO SMUDGE IN SIGHT! MIRACLE MASCARA is a truly MIRACULOUS FORMULA with a creamy texture that glides on each and every lash while the hourglass shape brush fits the contours of your eyes. Every single lash is perfectly illuminated with the LED light on the brush and visible in the magnifying mirror on the bottle. It’s long wearing and resistant to tears, sweat and oil but easily removed with warm water. The absolute perfect combination for Melissa’s night.

And then saving the best for last they moved on to the last makeup application…the lips! Jamie J used PERFECT LIP PENCIL ENHANCER by Beauty for Real, lining and filling in Melissa’s pretty pout entirely, again creating that perfect base for the most amazing gloss ever - Beauty for Real’s ILLUMINATING LIGHT UP LIP GLOSS.
With its high tech packaging, and “Magical Formula”, containing ingredients that naturally plump the lips without being sticky, Melissa understood instantly why the ladies of ‘HOT PINK STYLE’ are obsessed with this product! Jamie J mixed Kiss Me, ahoneysuckle flower blushing pink and Light Hearteda cool, sheer, barley there pink for the ultimate color, leaving ‘M-Go’s’ lips perfectly glossed and completely kissable. Even Joe agreed and loved the way it tasted !!!
Now that Melissa’s face was made up and bronzed to perfection, Jamie had one last step to complete the look. Melissa would be decked in a very small silky shorts romper, and with all of that skin ‘On Display’, Jamie J had just the thing in her kit to ensure every inch would be glistening and gleaming…‘Gleam by Melanie Mills’ an incredible illuminating moisturizer for the body. Jamie J mixed the Rose Gold , Light Gold& Bronze shades together and applied all over, right down to the tips of her toes. With its velvety , flawless finish, all natural ingredients and ability to completely cover her tan lines all the while being completely transfer resistant, this product is another must have! You won’t have to worry about your body bronzer or spray tan misbehaving ie streaking, stinking, rubbing off on our silky dress, or the stuff nightmares are made of - rubbing off on our guys new shirt! You know what we’re talking about, but you can forget about it with Gleam
Now Melissa was off to ring in a glittering 2012, perfectly Glowing from ‘Lashes to Stilettos…’

Tjentland’s miniaudieres are stunning transformations from dull and worn metal purses to new and lavish encrusted creations. She meticulously works on each of the miniaudieres to ensure the holder of them knows that she carries a “little treasurer”. We at Hot Pink were able to enjoy the miniaudieres for a period of time and we were sad to see their sparkle leave the factory!
